Kharibulbul

There are some unique flowers and plants that can be found only in places and very specific climate conditions of Azeraijan. There are some true jewels, found only in small quantities and in remote areas. One such amazing plants is “Khari-Bulbul” – the amazing and unique flower growing only in Shusha, one of the greatest regions of Karabakh. Thousands of ancient stories and legends are related to this flower. According to one of the legends, this flower is named after the nightingale falling in love with a flower.

The word ”khar” means spike, and the word “bulbul” means nightingale, so it can be translated like  “the nightingale sitting on the spike”. Jewel of nature, pearl of Shusha it served as the source of inspiration for generations of Azerbaijani poets, artists, musicians, craftsmen. “Khari-BulBul” is treated as the celebration of love and kindness.
